Vanderbilt on Monday pulled out of this week's Roman Legends Classic at Uncasville, Conn., due to a positive COVID-19 test in the program, according to the school.

Vanderbilt said it has temporarily paused all men's basketball activities.

The Commodores were scheduled to face Connecticut on Tuesday and then play either Southern California or BYU on Thursday.

Vanderbilt's withdrawal led to the tournament to scrap its championship format.

UConn and USC will meet Thursday, while the Huskies' second game of the tournament will be on Saturday against North Carolina State. BYU's will play St. John's on either Wednesday or Thursday, according to reports, after St. John's pulled out of Thursday's road game at Texas Tech.

According to the New York Post, St. John's opted out of the contest in West Texas due to concerns about the high positive COVID-19 rates in the area.

Texas Tech reportedly is looking to line up an opponent to replace St. John's.

Also, Villanova vs. Hartford was added to Tuesday's slate to replace the Vanderbilt-UConn contest.

--No. 21 Oregon announced it has scheduled games against Missouri on Wednesday and Seton Hall on Friday.

Both games will be played in Omaha, Neb.

Oregon head coach Dana Altman said Monday that he reached out to Creighton, his previous employer, about playing and the multi-team event was born.

The Ducks and Missouri were previously slated to face one other this week at Uncasville before both schools pulled out independently of the other.

Oregon's season opener on Nov. 25 against Eastern Washington was scrapped when the Eagles pulled out due to COVID-19 issues.

The Ducks have yet to play a game.
