(251122) -- NEW YORK, Nov. 22, 2025 (Xinhua) -- People with their luggage line up for dinner at a shelter for the homeless in New York, the United States, on Nov. 21, 2025. It is estimated that more than 350,000 people were without home in New York City (NYC) by August this year, the highest level since the Great Depression of the 1930s, according to the Coalition for the Homeless. Most of them slept in NYC shelters or temporarily doubled-up in the homes of others, and thousands slept unsheltered on streets, parks and subways. (Xinhua/Zhang Fengguo)
