Defensive lineman Mike Pennel signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not announced by the Chiefs for Pennel, who was granted his request for release by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday after recording 15 tackles in eight games this season.

Pennel, 34, will be playing on his third stint with Kansas City. He played with the Chiefs in 2019-20 and again in 2023-24.

The two-time Super Bowl champion has 5.0 sacks, 246 tackles and three forced fumbles in 146 games (25 starts) with the Green Bay Packers (2014-16), New York Jets (2017-18), Atlanta Falcons (2021), Chicago Bears (2022), Bengals (2025) and Chiefs.

Also on Wednesday, Kansas City waived defensive end Malik Herring.

Herring, 27, played in two games this season with the Chiefs.
